04/20/2022 - It’s been a minute since my last update, but I’m still working on my edits for NTGBH! Right now my focus is on editing/expanding chapter 4. I’ve added 1.2K words to the chapter, so it’s coming along nicely. Slowly, but with a lot of love, as always.

I’ve definitely been distracted by OFMD, but that’s been good for my heart and for writing inspiration. (OFMD is like the revelation of meeting a partner who’s a decent, caring human being when you’ve only been with abusers your whole life. Just like. OH. So this is what it feels like… to not just be seen, but to be loved. And I want my storytelling to be like that, too. As much as I can make it.)

IRL continues to be Too Much and I’m very grateful for my Tumblr fandom refuge.

I hope you’re all taking care of yourselves as best you can. For anyone who needs to hear it: Remember that you matter ♡♡♡

I’ll be back again soon with more updates and probably lots more OFMD reblogs lol

Two weeks later and I’m still sitting here just utterly besotted by Our Flag Means Death.

The thought that keeps ricocheting around my head: the trajectory of this plot is so kind. The creators cared about the story they were telling, they knew the story they were telling, and they told the story they promised to tell.

In an era where so much media is queerbaiting and intellectual combat and gotcha gimmicks and disappointment - this story just. Invited us to the table, presented us with a lovely, hearfelt meal, and asked us to partake. And not just partake, but enjoy!

It feels just so impossibly generous. And I can still hardly believe it.
